Affiliate Welcome Guide

Made New Naturals — Affiliate Welcome Guide
Made New Naturals
Affiliate Welcome Guide

Welcome to the family. Here's everything you need to start.

Thank you for saying yes. This guide walks you through your starter set, your link, how to post, and how you get paid. Read it once — keep it bookmarked for the questions that always come up later.

Program: Made New Naturals Affiliate Commission: 15% Payout: PayPal, monthly, $50 min.

1 · What you get

Your starter set & affiliate perks

Within a week of approval, you'll receive a package with:

Tallow Balm (jar)

Our signature whipped tallow. Start with a pea-size amount on clean, slightly damp skin.

Lip Balm

Toss one in your bag and forget drugstore chapstick exists.

Bar of Soap

Use it as a body bar or a face wash — it's gentle enough for both.

Your Affiliate Link

Unique to you. Everything sold through it pays you 15% for 30 days after first click.

Before you post

Actually use the products for at least 5–7 days before your first post. Real reviews beat hype every time, and our audience can tell the difference. If anything arrives damaged or you have a skin concern, email us first — we'd rather replace it than have you post something lukewarm.

2 · Your link

How tracking actually works

15%
commission per sale
30 days
cookie window
$50
minimum payout

When someone clicks your link, a 30-day cookie is dropped in their browser. If they buy anytime in those 30 days — even if they click another creator's link later — the sale is still attributed to the most recent link clicked. Takeaway: keep showing up in your feed, not just the day of a drop.

  1. Find your link in your UpPromote dashboard under Affiliate link.
  2. Shorten it with Bitly or your platform's built-in shortener if you want something prettier.
  3. Put it in your link-in-bio tool (Linktree, Beacons, Stan) labeled "Made New Naturals — 15% friend discount isn't automatic, but you get my support by using this link."

Where your link works

Yes: TikTok bio, Instagram bio, Linktree, YouTube description, blog posts, email newsletters, Pinterest pins.

No: direct links inside TikTok captions (TikTok strips them), paid ads running against our brand name, any page that misrepresents the product.

3 · Disclosure

The FTC-safe way to post

The FTC requires creators to clearly disclose paid or commissioned relationships. It's a big deal legally — and it's also just good faith with your audience. The rule of thumb: disclosure has to be clear, conspicuous, and upfront (not buried at the end).

On TikTok / Reels

Toggle the "branded content" or "paid partnership" switch on the post, AND say it in the first 3 seconds of the video (e.g., "This is an affiliate favorite…").

On Instagram feed / Stories

Use the "Paid partnership with Made New Naturals" tag. In the caption, include #affiliate or "my affiliate link" — not just #ad buried in hashtag soup.

On YouTube

Check the "Contains paid promotion" box during upload, and add a visible on-screen disclosure in the first 15 seconds.

In newsletters / blogs

A line at the top: "This email contains my affiliate link — if you buy, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you." That's it.

4 · What to post

Content that actually converts

You know your audience best — don't let us direct you. But here's what tends to work for tallow and natural skincare:

  • "I was skeptical" stories — you were a natural-skincare cynic, you tried it, here's what happened after 2 weeks.
  • Before / after on you — a single close-up showing texture or redness change is worth 10 product flatlays.
  • Get-ready-with-me / morning routine — show where Made New fits in your actual day.
  • Ingredient deep-dive — explain why tallow (bioavailable vitamins A, D, E, K, structurally similar to skin sebum) beats 30-ingredient drugstore moisturizers.
  • "What I stopped using" list — what tallow replaced in your routine.
  • Comment-response video — pick a skeptical comment ("isn't tallow gross?") and answer it honestly.

5 · Do & don't

Brand guardrails

Please do

  • Be honest — including about what didn't work for you.
  • Disclose clearly at the top of every post.
  • Tag @madenewnaturals so we can reshare.
  • Use your own photos and voice.
  • DM us questions — we reply within 24 hours on weekdays.
  • Let us know if a post takes off so we can amplify.

Please don't

  • Make medical claims ("cures eczema," "heals acne," "treats X").
  • Say "free" — it was gifted in exchange for an affiliate partnership.
  • Compare us by name to other specific tallow brands in a negative way.
  • Run paid search ads on our brand name or domain.
  • Repost our exact photos without attribution or add your own spin.
  • Reuse expired content once a product changes.

6 · Plug-and-play

Caption & script starters

Copy, tweak to sound like you, post.

TikTok voiceover — 15 sec I'm officially a tallow girl. [show jar] Two weeks of using this every night and my skin stopped looking tired. No synthetic fragrance, no 30-ingredient mystery list — just tallow that actually sinks in. Link in my bio if you want to try it.
Instagram feed caption Okay so — I was skeptical of tallow. It sounded like another wellness thing. I tried @madenewnaturals for 3 weeks. My cheeks stopped flaking in the morning, and I threw out three other moisturizers. Affiliate link in my bio, use it if you want to support small and see what I'm talking about.
IG Story — swipe-up style 3 things I stopped buying since discovering tallow ↓ [sticker poll] → Then follow with a story panel showing the starter set and the link sticker.
Newsletter paragraph A quick plug for something I actually use: Made New Naturals makes small-batch tallow skincare — jar, lip balm, and soap — with no synthetic fragrance. I've been using the balm as my nightly moisturizer for a month. Affiliate link below; if you buy, I earn a small commission and you get the same product I'm using.

7 · The money

Commissions, payouts & taxes

  1. Every qualifying sale pays you 15% of the order subtotal (before shipping and tax).
  2. Sales enter a pending state until our 14-day return window closes, then move to approved.
  3. Approved balances over $50 are paid out the first week of each month via PayPal.
  4. Under $50? It rolls forward until you clear the threshold — nothing is lost.
  5. Add your PayPal email in your UpPromote dashboard under Profile → Payment info. We can't pay you without it.

W-9 & 1099 (U.S. affiliates)

The IRS requires us to issue a 1099-NEC to any U.S. affiliate who earns $600 or more in a calendar year. To stay ahead of that:

  • We'll email you a secure W-9 request after approval. Please complete it before your first payout so nothing is held up.
  • If you hit $600 in earnings in a year and haven't submitted a W-9, we have to pause payouts until we receive it.
  • 1099s are sent by January 31 of the following year to the email on file. Watch for it.

8 · Your dashboard

Where to find everything

Everything lives in your UpPromote affiliate dashboard at af.uppromote.com/madenewnaturals/login. Bookmark it. You'll check it more than you think.

  • Dashboard tab — clicks, orders, pending vs. approved commissions.
  • Affiliate link — your unique link, and a button to copy it.
  • Orders — every sale tied to you, with status.
  • Payouts — paid, pending, and upcoming amounts.
  • Profile → Payment info — your PayPal email.
  • Profile → Tax info — upload your W-9 here when prompted.

9 · First-week checklist

Do these seven things

  • Add your PayPal email to your UpPromote profile
  • Complete and return the W-9 we emailed you
  • Use the starter set for 5–7 days before your first post
  • Follow @madenewnaturals on Instagram and TikTok
  • Put your affiliate link in your link-in-bio
  • Plan your first post — caption, disclosure, and a clean visual
  • Tag us in the post so we can reshare to our audience

10 · FAQ

The questions that come up

When will my first payout arrive?
The first week of the month after your approved balance clears $50. Pending commissions become approved 14 days after the order date (when the return window closes).
Can I post a negative review?
Yes — we'd rather you be honest. If something didn't work for you, say so. The only thing we ask is that you DM us first so we can understand what happened, in case there's a fit issue we can fix.
My audience is asking for a discount code — can you give me one?
Not at the moment. We keep our pricing straightforward and don't issue affiliate discount codes. Your link is how your audience supports you and is the only way sales get tracked to your account.
What if I hit $600 in earnings before I submit a W-9?
Payouts are paused until we receive your completed W-9. We'll email reminders before it gets there, but please send it back promptly to avoid delays.
Can I be an affiliate if I'm not in the U.S.?
Not right now — shipping and tax rules make international affiliates more than we can manage currently. If that changes, existing affiliates will hear first.
Can I apply to be a content-only partner (no sales)?
Absolutely. Reach out directly — we occasionally do flat-rate content partnerships separate from the affiliate program.
How do I leave the program?
Just email us. We'll process any outstanding commissions over $50 in the next monthly payout and close your account with zero hard feelings.
